Subculture:
seed out at ca. 0-5-1.0 x 106 cells/ml;
maintain at 0.5-1.5 x 106 cells/ml; split saturated culture at 1:3 every 2-3 days; it may be of advantage to start in 24-well-plates
Incubation:
at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time:
about 20-40 hours
Harvest:
maximal density at about 2-3 x 106 cells/ml
Storage:
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
Mycoplasma:
contamination was eliminated with Mycoplasma Removal Agent, then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays
