additional information:
<- JCM <- R. Sakazaki, National Institute of Health, Tokyo <- K. Miki, Kobe City General Hospital, Kobe. Blood of a diabetic patient. Japan, Kobe. Taxonomy/description (6907, 9746, 6865). Sequence accession no. 16S rRNA gene: AJ508301. Confusion about correct type strain culture caused by the fact that two different cultures are stored at different collections (Brady C., 2013). The correct Type strain of Enterobacter kobei is DSM 13645 (18884). Both cultures were used in species description and emendation (6907, 9746). This culture shows a riboprint pattern and 16S rRNA gene sequence different from DSM 13645. MALDI spectra differ considerably from DSM 13645. At DSMZ Voges-Proskauer reaction is positive. (Medium 535, incubation time: 1-2 days, pH 7, 37°C, aerobic)
