Morphology:
spheroidal cells growing as clumps in suspension; grows as semi-adherent monolayer on surfaces coated with poly-L-lysine

80% RPMI 1640 + 20% h.i. FBS
Subculture:
seed out at 2 x 106 cells/80cm2, at best in poly-L-lysine coated flasks; split 1:2 to 1:3 every 3-5 days; resuspend clumps by gentle pipetting on each occasion

at 37 °C with 5% CO2

ca. 120-140 hours

cell harvest of ca. 8 x 106 cells/80cm2
