established from the pleural effusion of a 61-year-old man with large cell lung carcinoma with giant cells who had received chemo- and radiotherapy; described in the literature to be PAS negative, to exhibit remarkable stroma formation and to overexpress the proto-oncogene MYC; listed in the CCLE (ref 18232)
