Taxonomy/description (3866, 4026, 10263, 10271, 4964, 19945). Sequence accession no. 16S rRNA gene: NR_042068.1. G+C content 58 mol% (10263). DSM 3051 was originally and accidentally confused with and published as type strain of Halovibrio variabilis (DSM 3050) (#4026). The mistake was disclosed and corrected by Sorokin and Tindall in 2006 (#10271) and validated by Tindall in 2014 (#19945).. (Medium 514b add 6% NaCl, incubation time: 1-2 days, 30°C, aerobic)
