Weak bioluminescence only visible after/during growth on medium 1 agar plates moistened with liquid medium 1. (Medium 1 with 5 g/l NaCl, 30°C, rehydrate freeze dried cells in 5 ml medium 545. Incubate this culture until growth occurs. Subsequently, cultivation may be carried out in medium 1 or medium 545 and on agar plates. or Medium 535).
