Further information:
Five different plaque morphotypes represent the phages Psp1 to Psp5; Phage belongs to the Myoviridae family which propagate on fluorescent pseudomonads. Three of these phages have head diameters comparable to the unusually large Pseudomonas phage PhiKZ. Psp1 has the smallest genome size of these phages. resistant to chloroform, resistant to 60°C for 35 minutes, burst size is 100 particles, latent period is 90 minutes.
