Phenotypically similar to Pectinatus cerevisiiphilus, but DNA homology values to both P. cerevisiiphilus and P. frisingensis are below 20% (N. Weiss, pers. comm.). Murein: A31, alpha-carboxyl group of D-glutamic acid is substituted by cadaverine (4645). (Medium 58 plus haemine (5µg/ml) + Vit K1 +lactate (0.5%) plus NBB concentrate (1 drop/10 ml), 30°C, anaerobic).
