Subculture:
split confluent culture 1:2 to 1:5 twice to three times weeky; cells are trypsin-sensitive, detach mechanically after loosening by incubating in PBS (with Ca2+ or Mg2+) for 10-15 min; seed out at ca. 0.2-0.5 x 105 cells/cm2; alternatively, cells can be detached using TrypLE Express (Invitrogen)
