Origin:
the parental cell line LAMA-84 (DSM ACC 168) has been established from the peripheral blood of a 29-year-old woman with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in blast crisis; subclone LAMA-87 was obtained after subcutaneous transplantation of LAMA-84 cells into estrone-treated nude mice; cells are described in the literature to carry t(9;22) leading to BCR-ABL1 e14-a2 (b3-a2) fusion gene
