Subculture:
split confluent culture 1:5 to 1:10 every 3-4 days using trypsin/EDTA; seed out at ca. 1-2 x 106 cells/80 cm2 in 10 ml medium

at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time:
ca. 30-40 hours
Harvest:
cell harvest of ca. 6 x 106 cells/80 cm2

initial contamination was eliminated with Baytril (enrofloxacin), then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization and continuously in PCR assays
