established in 1986 from peripheral blood mononuclear leucocytes of a 61-year-old man with an aggressive, fatal cutaneous T-cell lymphoma following a long history of psoriasis developing into nodular ulcerating skin lesions 7 months prior to diagnosis of lymphoma. Medium:
80% RPMI 1640 + 20% h.i. FBS
Subculture:
seed out at ca. 0.5 x 106 cells/ml in 24-well plates; split 1:2 to 1:4 every 2-4 days; maintain at 0.3-0.7 x 106 cells/ml; cells can be transfered to 80 cm2 flasks when the cells recovered from storage in liquid nitrogen
Incubation:
at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time:
ca. 50-70 hours
Harvest:
maximum density at ca. 1.2 x 106 cells/ml

frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
