Taxonomy/description (35670). Sequence accession no. 16S rRNA gene: MK554541, whole genome shotgun (WGS): SJPF00000000. Cells are pear-shaped (length: 1.3 ± 0.2 µm, width: 0.7 ± 0.1 µm) and form large aggregates which become visible as white flakes in
liquid culture. Cells divide by polar budding. (Kallscheuer et al. 2020). Heterotrophic. (Medium 1560, incubation time: 7-14 days, pH 7, 28°C, aerobic). Shows good growth in liquid media. Shows poor growth on agar plates
