Host for somatic coliphages which are considered to be valid faecal indicators, being consistently present in faeces, and generally exhibiting a positive correlation with faecal coliform counts. Strain is resistant to 60 mg/l nalidixic acid, suppressing most background organisms. (7133). (Medium 215, 35°C)
