<- CCM <- K.-H. Hinz; IPDH 2403. Infraorbital sinus of a chicken; Germany; sampling date: before 28.08.2006. Type strain. Sequence accession no. 16S rRNA gene: AY498868. (Medium 429b + Isovitalex; add liquid layer of M 804 + 5% chicken serum, 37°C, microaerophilic). After resuspending the pellet from the ampoule in 1 ml M 804 + 5% chicken serum the complete content has to be added to one agar plate. Growth will occur after 2-3 days; keep surface moist, cells will not grow on dry plates. Check the liquid layer microscopically for cells.
