Strain was isolated from blood from urinary/reproduction tract of sick Greek tortoise with egg retention but unknown as causative infectious agent in this case; resistant against most antibiotics; sensitive to Imipenem and Amikacin; beta hemolytic; strain grows with intensive yellow colour; scanning electron micrographs performed at HZI, Braunschweig, show single excretion granules or on "chains". (Medium 381, 28°C).
