<- ATCC <- L.W. Erdman, 3C231. Until May 2015 preserved as the type strain of Rhizobium lupini. Source of the original strain: lupin (Lupinus angustifolius) root nodules. Taxonomy/description (24294). Sequence accession no. 16S rRNA gene: NR044869, recA gene: KM114867, glnII gene: KM114863. According to 16 sRNA analysis, strain belongs to Bradyrhizobium japonicum (24294). As DSM 30140 does not nodulate Lupinus but effectively nodulates Glycine max, it cannot be the original type strain of Rhizobium lupini (24294). Preservation (3363). (Medium 98, 30°C or Medium 1, 30°C).
