Remarks:
pLS20 promotes transfer of plasmid pBC16 from Bacillus subtilis (natto) to the Bacillus species Bacillus cereus, Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus megaterium, Bacillus pumilus, Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus thuringiensis. In addition to mobilizing pBC16, pLS20 mediates transfer of plasmid pLS19 and pUB110. Bacillus subtilis (natto) 3335 UM24 (DSM 4451) was cured of all plasmids and can be used as recipient in mating experiments.
