Taxonomy/description (8198, 8199, 8200, 8201). Strain H8 has been identified as a Rhodococcus ruber strain right after deposit. Test results have identified the type strain of the later described Rhodococcus aetherivorans as the next phylogenetic relative. Type strains of R. ruber and R. aetherivorans show a 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity of 99.42% to each other. (Medium 535, 28°C).
