Cometabolism of gamma-HCH (4300). 16S rDNA sequencing performed at DSMZ in May 1996 revealed sequence differences to C. butyricum ATCC 19398 and a close relationship to C. beijerinckii. (Medium 48 or Medium 110, 37°C, anaerobic).
