Utilizes 3-bromobenzoate, 5-bromosalicylate, 3-chlorobenzoate, 5-chlorosalicylate, 2,5-dibromobenzoate, 2,3-dichlorobenzoate, 2,5-dichlorobenzoate, all 2-halobenzoates, salicylic acid (3919). (Medium 457 (after autoclaving, add 1 g/l chlorobenzoate from a filter-sterilized 10-fold concentrated stock solution) or medium 220, 28°C).
