Utilizes 2-chloroethylmethylether, 2-chloroethylether, 1,2-dichloroethane, methoxyethanol as sole source of carbon (4949), 2-chloroethylmethylether, 2-chloroethylether, 1,2-dichloroethane, methoxyethanol as sole source of carbon (5068). (Medium 457 with 0.05 g/l yeast extract (add methanol or 1,2-dichloroethane to the incubation atmosphere), 28°C or Medium 830, 28°C or Medium 7 Reactivate freeze-dried cells in liquid medium first, afterwards, cultivation may be carried out in liquid medium or on agar, 28°C).
