epithelial-like cells growing adherently as monolayer in tight clusters or islands; single cells sometimes with long extensions; inside the nuclei distinct spots are visible; image; image; image; image

Medium:

90% RPMI 1640 + 10% h.i. FBS + 2 mM L-glutamine

Subculture:

seed out at ca. 1-2 x 10⁶ cells/175 cm² flask; split confluent culture 1:2 - 1:4 every 2-3 days using trypsin/EDTA

Incubation:

at 37 °C with 5% CO₂

Doubling time:

ca. 35-45 hours

Harvest:

cell harvest of ca. 10 x 10⁶ cells/75 cm²

Storage:

frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
