Cell Line authentication/identification

We offer cell line authentication/identification services. In case of human cell lines, we use a 17 STR loci panel, while we use COI barcoding for animal cell lines. 

 

 

Test for cross-contamination:

Every sample is analysed for the presence of human, mouse, rat, Chinese and Syrian hamster DNA. 
Additional cost-free testing if needed for verification: 

  • microsatellite stability status testing via BAT25/BAT26
  • variable number tandem repeat (VNTR) analysis
  • presence of SV40
  • murine STR genotyping
  • sex determination mouse/rat
