Infection and Immunity

The research group Infection and Immunity performs routine works for quality assurance of our cell lines and research in the field of viral infections in vitro.

Routinely, we check cell cultures for mycoplasma contaminations and for infections with viruses that may occur in cell lines. Using sensitive techniques including digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), infections can be detected in accessioned cell lines or cell culture samples from customers. Our research efforts focus on the dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 infection and cellular immune responses on the single-cell level.
