Species validation:
Species-level identification was carried out by mitochondrial Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit 1 (COI) DNA barcoding according standard ANSI/ATCC ASN-0003-2015 and revealed Mus musculus species.
Cytogenetics:
murine near-tetraploid karyotype - 74-82<4n> - 1-3 centric fusion markers and 1-2 dm present in most cells - does not correspond with published karyotype of 56 chromosomes
