maintain at 0.5 x 106 cells/ml; split saturated culture at 1:2 to 1:3 every day; seed out at ca. 1.0 x 106 cells/ml; viability immediately after thawing may be rather low (<30%), but cells recover subsequently over the next week and viability will raise over the next few passages (spent medium should be exchanged with discarding cells); cells grow better in 24-well-plates; maximal density at ca. 1.0 x 106 cells/ml

Species validation:
Species-level identification was carried out by mitochondrial Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit 1 (COI) DNA barcoding according standard ANSI/ATCC ASN-0003-2015 and revealed Mus musculus species.
Cytogenetics:
murine near diploid karyotype with 12.5% polyploidy - 39-42<2n>XX, Df(2E2F1) - 1-2 centric fusion markers present - resembles published karyotype
