Subculture:
seed out at ca. 2-5 x 106 cells/80 cm2; split semi-confluent culture 1:3 every 3-4 days using trypsin/EDTA, dissociate cells with a pipette (10 ml) during trypsination; after thawing and in the first week, viability and adherence may be low (about 50%)
Incubation:
at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time:
ca. 50 hours
Harvest:
cell harvest of about 20-30 x 106 per 80cm2
Storage:
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
