split confluent culture 1:20 to 1:50 every 3-4 days using trypsin/EDTA; seed out at ca. 0.05 x 106 cells/cm2; maintain at 0.2 x 106 cells/cm2

Species-level identification was carried out by mitochondrial Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit 1 (COI) DNA barcoding according standard ANSI/ATCC ASN-0003-2015 and revealed Mesocricetus auratus species.
