CAT-13.1E10
ACC 473
Cell line:
CAT-13.1E10
DSMZ no.:
ACC 473
Species:
murine (mouse) (Mus musculus)
Cell type:
hybridoma (CD19)
Origin:
described as secreting a mouse monoclonal antibody (IgG1) CD19; the cell line was established in 1988 by fusion of PX63AG8.653 cells with spleen cells of a mouse immunized with EBV-transformed B cells from a patient with MHC class-II deficiency re-expressing class-II antigens
Reference(s):
Biosafety level:
1
Permissions and restrictions:
DSMZ Cell Culture Data:
Medium:
80% DMEM (4.5 g/L glucose) + 20% h.i. FBS + HFCS ("Hybridoma Fusion and Cloning Supplement" for the first 1-2 weeks post-thawing)
Subculture:
split saturated cultures 1:3 every 2 days; seed out at 0.2 x 106 cell/ml; maintain at ca. 0.2-0.4 x 106 cells/ml; after thawing cells may start slowly to take up growth
Incubation:
at 37°C with 10% CO2
Doubling time:
about 30-40 hours
Harvest:
maximal density of about 5 x 106 cells/25 cm2
Storage:
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
DSMZ Scientific Data:
Mycoplasma:
contamination was eliminated with sparfloxacin, then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays
Immunology:
secretion of a IgG1 monoclonal antibody
Species validation:
Species-level identification was carried out by mitochondrial Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit 1 (COI) DNA barcoding according standard ANSI/ATCC ASN-0003-2015 and revealed Mus musculus species.
Viruses:
ELISA: reverse transcriptase negative; PCR: SMRV -
