Cultivation conditions:
Medium 1673 , 23°C
At the DSMZ, cyanobacteria cultures are usually cultivated without agitation in 25 cm2 plastic flasks with filter screw caps. To subculture DSM 101364, shake the old culture flask to dispense the cyanobacteria and transfer a volume of 3 - 6 ml in order to inoculate 15 ml of fresh medium in a new tissue culture flask. Light cycle: 16 hours of illumination at 600 lux and 8 hours dark period. Transfer interval of 4 weeks.
