Name:
pYe(CEN3)41
DSM No.:
4932 dsm-4932 dsm4932 dsm 4932 pYe(CEN3)41
History:
<- J. Carbon
Mol. weight:
9.2 kb
Remarks:
Yeast vector; the plasmid carries CEN3 DNA (centromeric DNA from yeast chromosome III) of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and the replicator ars1 (chromosomal replicator) plus the LEU2 marker; these two markers are located on plasmid pGT12 into which the 2.0 kb CEN3 fragment was cloned; both Tcr and TRP1 expression are destroyed. The resulting plasmid behaves as a chromosome in mitosis and meiosis in yeast.
