<- NCTC <- P.H.A. Sneath, PB21 <- E.M. Barnes, F87/268. Chicken intestine. Taxonomy/description (2710, 2848, 2851). Murein: A11.31 (2848). Positive PCR for vanC1 gene. (Medium 92 or Medium 693, 37°C, microaerophilic). (In IJSB 34:222, 1984, it is stated that NCDO 2313 = NCTC 11428. However, NCDO 2313 = F87/276 and NCTC 11428 = F87/268. The ATCC and NCDO have confirmed that NCDO 2313 and NCTC 11428 are not equivalent. The type strain of Enterococcus gallinarum is ATCC 49573 = JCM 8728)
